John McCain, you used to be cool. Also, I am not particularly surprised that someone in the United States government is expressing this sentiment. Perhaps Sen. McCain is correct, if by dangerous, McCain means dangerous to the United States hegemony abroad.
The most effective thing we can do is support democracy in the Middle East.
